Possible Pregnancy After Tube Removal: What to Do
QuestionI had one of my left tube remove in Jan. 2007. I had my last period April 1 2007. I did a home test and I think it was positive. I have been very tired I want to know do you think I am pregancy
AnswerDear Velinda,
If your LMP was 4/1, then you are definitely late, especially if you have a history of having regular menstrual cycles. As long as you have one functioning Fallopian tube and you have had unprotected sex, pregnancy is a possibility.
The only way to know for sure is to test for pregnancy. You said that you "think it was positive". My suggestion would be to either re-test and make sure to use 1st morning urine to get a concentrated sample for the most accurate result, or go to your doctor's office for a quantitative blood pregnancy test (serum beta hCG). That test will give you an actual amount of hCG in your bloodstream, rather than just a positive/negative result. Any amount of 25 mIU/ml or more is considered positive for pregnancy.
I hope this has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well and the result that you are hoping for. :-)
