Cesarean Sections: Myths & Facts - Can You Have a 4th?

I am pregnant with my third child and my other two kids were born through c-section. I tried to have a VBAC with my second child, but was unable to do so. Is true that a woman is only allowed to have 3 cesarean section births due to the risk in bleeding to death?

There is really no limit to the number of cesarean deliveries any woman can have.  We do know that the risk of complications associated with surgery increase whenever someone has had a lot of them.  In the hands of a skillful and prepared surgeon, the risks of a third cesarean delivery are low, though not as low as the first cesarean delivery.  You should talk to your doctor about the specific rates of complications he or she has had.
