QuestionI am 35yrs old, have 2 children. My First Born is 4yrs and second born 6months old.My last menstrual period started on 28/01/06.Am so worried about my health.Had a Ceaserian birth on 30/08/05 and I Have confirmed that am pregnant. Is the wound completely healed? Do I have to keep the pregnancy? Is not my health at risk? Am I going to lead a normal Life until birth? Should I expect to go under another ceaserian Birth or normal delivery? Any specific Foods I Should eat? should I continue breastfeeding my baby? I feel guilty whenever I Look at my son,he does not DESERVE THIS AT ALL,dont you think it will affect his growth? Am actually getting into depression! HELP ME PLEASE!
AnswerWhat was the reason that you had a cesarean section? A cesarean section will not affect your health. It is merely another method of delivering your baby, if it cannot be delivered vaginally. The incision is completely healed aftger 6 weeks following the operation. You certainly can abort the pregnancy if you do not want another child. HOwever, depending on why you had the cesarean, you may be able to have another vaginal delivery, or you can choose to have another cesarean section. There are no special foods you must take. You can continue to breastfeed your baby. Why do you feel guilty when looking at your son? A baby born via cesarean is perfectly healthy. What is it that he does not deserve. A cesarean section does not affect the baby's growth at all. I would suggest that you discuss everything with your doctor.
