Conceiving After Salpingectomy: Chances & Next Steps

hi doc, i had ectopic n had to undergo salpingectomy on left side jan 2009.Doctors say i can still conceive with other patent tube.prior to that i had problem ovulating as i had been overweight.Now my BMI is normal n had reduced about about 20% of my body weight.in 3rd cycle which started on april 10, i started on clomid 100mg.what are my chances of conceiving naturally???r i need to for iui or ivf?How soon can i conceive as of now my periods are not delaying like before?i am really really depressed n frustated.plzzz help?

If your other tube is normal, your chances of pregnancy are the same as normal, given that your body can still pick up the egg from the opposite side, and that you'll have a good chance when you ovulate on the side with the normal tube.  If this doesn't work, you could try IUI or IVF.  The rates for IUI are much lower, around 20% and IVF rates are closer to 50%.  Good luck.
