can my gf be pregnant? because its been 3 weeks now and she hasnt have her period..she took a pregnancy test after a week on a hospitals laboratory and it was negative.. is it accurate.. whats the difference between home preg. test than the pregtest in the laboratoy. which is more accurate?and is it sure that if we go to an obgyne the obgyne can tell if my gf is really pregnant?what is the easiest thing to do for us to know if my gf is pregnant.. tnxs pls. answer us god bless all...

the lab test is way more accurate. If the lab test says she is not pregnant and she is still 3 weeks late, there is probably another reason for her missing her period.

Yes the OB can tellif your girlfriend is pregnant. At this point they could do an ultrasound and look for a gestational sac.

Here is how the tests work:

a home test (urine test) picks up a pregnancy hormone called Human Chorionic Gondaotropin (hcG)  they usually will pick up when the HcG level is about 100.  (this is very early.)

A blood test done at the hospital or lab can pick up ANY number level of HcG, even if it is as low as 5.

A doctor's office urine test will usually pick up HcG at a level of 25.

She needs to see her doctor to find out why she is not having her period and getting negative tests. but if the lab test says she is not pregnant, that is way more accurate than the home test.
