Questionwell my husband and i have been trying almost 1 year and are still unsucessful.. what could be wrong and how can we find out? also is there an ferility doctor anywhere close to carrollton ga
AnswerWe usually do not start an infertility work up untill you have been actively trying to conceive for a full 12 months. First, you must determine if you are, indeed, ovulating. Get yourself an ovulation kit and start testing your urine around cycle day #12. If you have a 28 day cycle, ovultion usually occurs on cycle day #14. You can only become pregnant if you have sex on cycle day #13,14,15,or 16 each month. When the doctor starts an infertility workup, they will check your husband's sperm, check whether you are ovulating, check for infection, check your vagina, and check to see if your tubes are open. Usully, you will find a fertility doctor at any major medical school clinic. Good luck.
