Early Pregnancy Concerns: No Heartbeat & Small Yolk Sac at 8 Weeks - Doctor Advice

Hi Dr. I have 8 weeks I made a ultrasound last monday, july 3, my next visit is tomorrow wendsday 5, the heart of my baby doesnt sound there its no heart beat and the Doctor said that the yolk sack it's small than usually. My baby is .61 cm now. My first day last period was May 7. I just need information to take a good decision about continued or not my pregnancy. Please help me. Thanks Nanette DM

If your last period started on May 7, you should now be a little less than 10 weeks pregnant. By now, we should see a fetus, a heartbeat, and a yolk sac. If the fetus is only  8 weeks, either  your last period is incorrect or thee is a problem with growth. I would take another sonogram and see what it shows.
