Baby Heart Rate: Understanding Normal Growth & Monitoring

I was told my baby has a good heart beat.  I am just overly cautious because I have had two losses in the past, and currently have a vanishing twin with this pregnancy.  I only question this because in one of your other posts you said the baby's heart increases by 4 bpm per day.  Mine has increased by almost 6 bpm per day.  It was 138 on week 7 and 176 on week 8. So, is a 6 bpm rise a day ok?  My RE says so far, so good.  (I had not read your post until after I talked to him)  Just want to make sure I don't need to ask him about this, and what your take is...  Praying for a healthy baby this time.  :)

Yes, it sounds like your baby is doing fine. :) We get much more concerned about too slow of a fetal heart rate than when it progresses at a slightly higher rate. A rate of 138 sounds perfectly fine!
