hi im 24 y/o the date of my last period was 01/21/06 or 01/22/06 my due date is 11/02/06 . i have no kid im a first time mom .my question is im almost 11 wks pregnant and i want to know how long the baby stays in the yolk sac .

It is an ongoing process from the fertilized egg to the development of the embryo and then to the fetus. During this period of time, there is the development of the yolk sac and then to the devolopment of the fetal membranes (amnion, chorion, allantois). Once the fetus is large enough, we no longer see the yolk sac. If your period started on January 21--22, you should now be 12 weeks 1 day pregnant. Your due date is October 28 *by dates).
