Understanding a Missing Fetal Heartbeat: What to Expect

i had scan yesterday.i am pregnant for about +7 weeks(by last cycle of periods). and i have spotting for the past 3 days.and it is ultra sound report..Intrauterine gestational sac seen.Yolk sac seen.Fetal pole seen.No fetal heart beat.Right ovary=2.3x1.9cm,left ovary= 2.6 x 1.5 cm.CRL= 0.27 cm = 5w6d. now tell my what happened next i am too much worried.

There are two outcomes here, the first one is that you are going through a miscarriage due to the fact that your last menstrual period puts you more than 7 weeks and the spotting you are experiencing.  Call your doctor if your bleeding gets heavier and you experience pain that is abnormal to you.   The second outcome is that your period is off and the measurement of the baby (CRL) is the more accurate dating.  If this is the case then at 5 weeks and 6 days it is common to not see a heartbeat yet on ultrasound.  My advice here is ask for a follow up in 5 - 10 days to make sure.  They can compare the ultrasounds and will get a much better idea of what is going on.  I am sorry you have to go all the worry, my thoughts are with you.
