Irregular Menstrual Bleeding: Causes, When to See a Doctor

My monthly period was delayed for about 5 days amd then I am now bleeding for 10 days 4 days just spotting, 6 days heavy bleeding). Is this normal? Should I have to see OBGYN? I never experience it before. I always have a irregular cycle. Please help.

It is not abnormal to have irregular and heavy bleeding in a menstrual cycle that is irregular. If you should soak more than 1 pad or tampon per hour, you should consult your OB/GYN as this may lead to severe blood loss and may be indicative of more severe issues.
