I have been taking birth control for the past three months but I have noticed that my cycle went from 3 days to now having it 13 days. I spot for 3 days then bleed heavly for the rest with servere cramps.like I'm.having contraction or a miscarrige. Can you tell me what is going on _why is this happening _ Is this normal_ I am 35 and have 3 kids

No, this is not what we want to occur on the BCP. Sometimes our bodies take a little while to adjust to the hormones in the pill, but after three months it should not be continuing to this degree.

I would suggest that you contact your doctor and describe what is happening. He/she will likely adjust your dosage or switch to a different pill altogether.
