Understanding Irregular Periods & Heavy Flow: Causes & What to Do

hi i have  an irregular sometimes regualr menstrual cycle but my flow is medium to heavy. For a awhile i have beend getting my period 23 days a part and usually 5-6 days long, but i got my period twice this month 14 days apart and this second period was extremly light and nothing really came down until the until the fourth day. What could this mean i had unprotected sex and i was wondering what could this mean! thanks

In general, regular periods are about 24 to 30 days from day one to day one. Ovulatory cycles are usually regular and may have a prodrome such as mood changes, bloating, swelling or headaches several days prior to onset of flow. If your periods are ovulatory, then they are OK.
