Understanding Your Menstrual Cycle: When Does it Restart?

Pretty simple question: Does the cycle start over at the end of my period or do I count the days from when it begins?

you start counting from the first day of your menstrual cycle... then you ovulate exactly 14 days before the next cycle.  If your period is 28 days it is always 14 days after your first day of menses.  If your period is 30 days, it is 16 days after your first day of menses, etc.
