Persistent Heavy Menstrual Bleeding: Causes & What to Do
QuestionI am 19, I have no children, I have had my mensrual period for 3 months now. It's not like where it comes and goes, I have had it straight through for about 3 and a half months, sometimes I get these small fragments of blood. My mother tolled me they were blood clots and that I should go to the doctor. I am not sure what to do as I can not afford a doctor. I was just wondering what this might be and why it has not yet gone away.
AnswerIf you have been bleeding every day for three months without a break, it is definitely abnormal and must be stopped. Whether you can afford it or not, you have to see a gynecologist and have the bleeding stopped. Then you can have your menstrual cycle regulated. Constant bleeding can lead to severe anemia and it can mess up your menstrual cycle. Go immediately to a gynecologist.
