Pelvic Pain and Irregular Bleeding: Understanding Possible Causes

I am 19 yrs old.I dont have any kids but have been pregnant once before. The 1st day of my last period was Sept 19. It lasted 9 days when it usually lasted 5. I bled heavily for the first 3 days and after that it was lite then i had a pinkish discharge. This came on and off till the end. I've also been having pain in my pelvic area and during sex my cervix hurts. What could this mean?

You period sounds completely normal. It is very common to have heavy bleeding for three days and then tapering off for the next few days. As long as you did not bleed for longer than 14 days at a time, there is no problems.If you have pain during sex, get an exam by your gynecologist to see if anything is worrisome in your vagina. You may have some inflammation of your cervix causing the pain after sexual activity. Check it out.
