IUD Side Effects: Night Sweats and Possible Causes

My daughter is and has an IUD (with Hormone).  She is experiencing significant nightsweats.  Could this be related to the IUD?  She tends to be very sensitive to drugs (antibiotic  can make her spacey), SO IF THERE'S A SIDE EFFECT IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME THAT SHE'D EXPERIENCE IT.  iF NOT THE iud WHAT COULD IT BE ABOUT.  sHE IS DRENCHED IN SWEAT IN A COLD HOUSE.

Night sweats are not a side effect that is listed as "common" for the MIRENA IUD. However, night sweats tend to be a hormonal symptom and are not unheard of with oral birth control contraceptives. Therefore, it would seem logical that if she has experienced the night sweats since having the IUD inserted and since it is a hormonal IUD, it would stand to reason it could very likely be the cause of that particular symptom.
