Understanding a Teenager's Health: Hypoglycemia and Asthma

Question
Hello, we recently got my husband's 15 year old Daughter after her mother passed away.
We were told by my husband's neice (that is where the girl had been staying) that she had hypoglycemia and astma.  She had taken her to the Doctor because she would feel faint.
We took her to the Dr. and the reports/test come back that she does not have the hypoglycemia.  We know she was not eating right when the test was first taken.  Now that she is getting on a better eating routine is it possible that she is cured of it?
Also, our Dr. said she does NOT have astma, but a cough from smoking (she smoked up until that Drs. appt, we made her quit, we are not smokers) Is that possible?  Her cough does seem better now that she is not smoking, but she does still have one.
Thanks.

Yes, that often happens when people are more stable in their life and nutrition.

Yes, that often happens also.
