QuestionHello,
I will start from the beginning, February 11th, I had my IUD removed, it was a marina. February toward the end, I started my period, it was a heavy flow, it lasted 7 days, just like a normal period I've had before the IUD.
March comes, March 5th I started what I thought at the time, was my period, however, it was very light and spotty. Just enough to use a pantie liner. I am thinking now, that this could have very well been Implantation.
A week before April 5th, I took a test, and it was negative, I tested again April 5th, it was negative, Sunday, April 18th, I tested with a clear Blue, and it was positive, it appeared as soon as the pee hit the stick, just as it did with my first pregnancy, 7 years ago. The 2 tests I used that had Negative, were 2 cheap Dollar General store tests, that cost like $3.00. They were the ones you pee in a cup and drip into the test.
Well so my question is, does that sound like I experienced Implantation bleeding in march? Would I be about 2 months pregnant?
AnswerDear Melissa,
The calculation of your due date would not be based on whether or not you experienced implantation bleeding anyway. It may have been - or it may not have been. Only about 1/3 of women experience actual implantation bleeding. If you had a full, regular period the end of February, it is more unlikely that you would have conceived and had implantation bleeding already by 3/5. It would seem more likely to have maybe been a bit of ovulation bleeding. Regardless, your doctor will most likely calculate your due date from your LMP date in February and confirm it via an ultrasound scan within the first 12 weeks. With a LMP of approximately 2/22, your due date would be on or about 11/29/10, making you 9 and 1/2 weeks along.
I hope this has helped you and answered your question. Sorry about the delay... I am recovering from surgery.
