Understanding Ovulation Timing & Pregnancy - A Personal Story

Question
Hi,

My husband and I are tryign to get pregnant.  Im 26, and his 29.  We have on son, 1.

I can feel myself ovulate, and we are takign a crack at cm and cp, but we havent tried the bbt, yet.

My problem is this:  we had sex daily from the 5th-10th of August.  My sons birthday party was that Sunday, so my ovulation was delayed.  I ovulated on Monday the 13th (felt it)  (I should of ovulated on August 11th)  That day I also started having cramps, and nausea.  I called my midwife, but because they thought it could be a cyst, I was refered to an ob/gyn.  They REFUSED to see me!  Instead they had me have a transvaginal u/s on the 16th (showed nothing- no cyst no ectopic preg, etc.- which of course is too early)  (I did have a cyst that burst when my son was concieved)

I cont. to have teh pain.  My cycle (which is VERY VERY regular) was due on 8/23.  When my period had not arrived, I was given a beta blood test for HCG - negative.

On Monday (August 27- 14 dpo)  I had another negative beta hcg test.

My period still has not arrived today (the 29th)  I called to make an appt. and they still refuse to see me.  They told me to wait another week and if no period take a hpt.

In addition to all this, my pain that was initally located all over has focused on teh right side.  This happened with my son and the burst cyst.  But of course, I think could it be ectopic?  There was a possiblity (no dx though) of me having endometriosis (I used to have very painful cramps during menstration)

So I guess my question is this.  If I know I ovulated on teh 13th... is there ANY possibility that Im simply not making enough HCG to show up on a Beta Blood Test 14 dpo?

Answer
The basal body temperature is the firm clue about pregnancy without other indications.  Since you haven't done that, I can't really give you any more direction.  Pregnancy tests are usually accurate especially after you've missed a period.  I don't know what else to tell you if the doctor's won't let you make an appointment.  Maybe you should find another doctor?
