Possible Pregnancy Symptoms: Spotting, Cramping & More - Online Doctor

Question
Hi my LMP was either was June 24, 2006 (about 95% sure this was the date) My periods are very regular and I've never had any breakthrough bleeding.  Me and my husband had intercourse July 2, 2006, although we used a spermicidal condom. Today on the 12th, I noticed very light brownish red spotting.  This has never happened to me before and I'm 28 years old.  I've also noticed the last 2 days I've had this cramping feeling and a little increased discharge.  Could I be pregnant?  I know it's too early to test with urine so I'm going crazy thinking about it!  I don't have any other symptoms.  thanks for your advice!

Answer
Hi Sara,

You could be pregnant.  It would have been a little early in your cycle to become pregnant, though.  On average, most women conceive between days 10-20 of their cycles (day 1 being the first day of your last period). So, that would have made July 2nd day 8.  However, you aren't entirly sure of your LMP, so, it may have been a different date.  You certainly can be experiencing implantation bleeding and cramping is normal during early pregnancy.  So, if you are driving yourself crazy, have your OB/GYN send you for some bloodwork.  The bloodwork can show pregnancy hours after it happens.  Good luck!
