QuestionI am 31 years old and trying to become pregnant for the first time.I had a miscarriage in Feb 2007 after 6 weeks of pregnancy.Earlier my cycle used to be very perfect and it was 28 days.Now my cycle is irregular.Last time it was 38, then 42 days. My height is 5 feet 3 inches, and I weigh 140 pounds.What is causing irregular periods now? Miscarriage or Weight?

I had this problem myself. Miscarriage seems to turn your body upside-down & everybodys recovery is at different rates. If your cycles are longer than 31 days then there is a chance you may not be ovulating.
I would see how long your next period takes and if it's longer again, visit your GP. They may be able to do something to help regulate everything again.
It's always an idea to keep your weight regulated, but scanty periods are usualy more common in underweight women. More than anything, try not to worry. Stress alone can cause all sorts of problems and remember, it takes the average woman a year to concieve if you're trying again!
