I had 3 days periods after that it stopped and again starts on 5th day. this happens 2nd time. my last periods also same.
Please tell me is it normal? and why it is happening? do i need to visit doctor?

QUESTION: Hi. I am 22 years old.
I haven't took any Birth Control pills. or not IUCD.
And even i have not involved in sex from last 3 months. but i had abortion in March 2010. but after than i got normal periods. and from that day i didnt had sex with my boyfriend.
Is this cause of stress / late night sleeps? because i am architect and from 2 months i am getting lots of work and i hardly sleep for 4 hrs a day.
Please suggest me..
AnswerHi Swapnil. Thanks for further information.Yes, a lot of stress and lack of sleep can cause polymenorrhagia as you describe. But if it continues you will need to have yourself checked out because poly-cystic ovarian disease is another possibility.
