Understanding Bleeding & Cramps in Early Pregnancy After a Miscarriage

I would like to know if a miscarriage is inevitable.
I am 29 years old, and suffered a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks in October 09.  I am now pregnant again and started to bleed on monday 14 feb!! all day cramps and bleeding which stopped on tuesday.  On that monday I had a scan believing I was 6 weeks 4 days although the scan only showed a 5 week sac.  My last lmp was 31st December 2009.  It is now thursday and I have had no bleeding or cramping and my HCG went from 2650 on Monday to 3650 on Tuesday, which my doctor said was pleasing.
 These are my HCG results thus far
5th Feb 470
8th feb 830
12th feb 2200
15th feb 2650 (day of bleeding and cramps)
16th Feb 3650

I am so scared I am going to lose it, and when I have told my story on forums, others have said it doesn't sound good, but I really don't want to believe it.

Any advice would be so greatly appreciated

I am no doctor. However bleeding in early pregnancy is not totally uncommon. If your HCg results are increasing it certainly is a good sign. Im sorry I havent replied sooner, and I hope your results have continued to increase.
