Arm Pain & Sensitivity: Causes, Symptoms & Relief

i've been trying to find answers to this problem i've been having for a few days:

my arm is very sensitive to the touch - the way a sunburn would feel.  however there are no visible signs of any problems other than mild swelling.  no discoloration or blemishes and it is not a burn of any sort.  the pain extends from the wrist to the elbow and only on one side of the arm (i've created a picture of the affected area viewable at

Hi Dan'l,
Thanks for the rendering. This could be a couple of things. The kind of pain you describe sounds like nerve pain. In this area, it could be an Ulnar Nerve irritation coming from the elbow or possibly from a nerve compression in your neck at the C7-T1 level. I would have this checked out. As it is your right arm, it isn't likely to be heart related.
