QuestionI am not sure what is wrong, my arm is hurting badly but not permanently, from the shoulder to my wrist. it is worse when i have been writing, typing driving, washing up, but when it is severe it brings tears to my eyes. sometimes my arm just feels very numb, other times v painful. i am trying to carry on working but the pain can be extreme. paracetamol don't seem to do alot to help. pls ca you advise me the best way to cope with this.

AnswerYou said your arm.... if symptoms go down into your fingers, especially 2nd, 3rd, 4th, then it is possibly you have carpal tunnel syndrome. This kind of ache can also be a shoulder problem, bursitis and the pain can radiate down the arm. It can also be a pinched nerve in the neck.
I assume you have tried ibuprofen, 800 mg three times a day without relief. It may be time to get it looked at......
