Hip Pain After Lipitor and Crestor: Potential Side Effect?
QuestionI am 48 years od and my Dr put me on Lipitour for high cholestrol. After taking it foe about 3 months I developed a pain in my nip. basicly it feels like it is right in the joint. I quit taking it for a month and at my next appointment he changed it to Crestor. Well it has been 3 months now and I again have the hip pain. There are times when it is OK other times it is not bad but then once in a while I almost fall over the pain is so bad. Does this sound like the type of reaction that the pills can produce and is there something that is totally diffrent that could keep my cholestrol down? I will be making another appt. with my Dr shortly but would like a second opinion so I could ask him something and not sound stupid.

Yes, it could be the statin drugs. Ask your doctor if Zetia would be OK for you since it does not do this. OK?
Also check out 1/4 tsp of cinnamon in oatmeal or on buttered toast every morning to lower cholesterols and prevent diabetes. OK?
