Foot Wound with Foreign Body: Potential Infection & Future Concerns

I recently obtained a wound on my foot, last night I noticed a small brown/black speck inside the wound I tried to wash the wound with water but still remained. Could my wound become infected and if it heals can this cause problems in the future.

that brown speck could be a foreign body or could be a scab or could be a vein, looking at it on end.   Good soap and water cleansing and let it heal... if it gets infected, then we deal with it.  Usually debriding (scraping cutting etc) causes more problems than it helps......
