Left Rib Pain: Causes, Symptoms & What to Do (No Insurance Options)

I recently developed this pain directly ubder my lef rib, it hurts when i breath,cough and laugh. it doesnt feel like my lung it feels deeper and sometimes i get shootong pains out of nowhere. it started at work serving tables but nothing to strainful. if you could give me any kind of advice that would be awsome because i dont have any insurance thanks.

There are a couple of organs under your left ribs that can cause this pain. One is your Spleen and the other is your Splenic Colon Flexure. It is a well known problem to trap stool or gas in this flexure and cause severe pain. Usually a single does of catahrtic helps. Keeping a regular diet and drinking water regularly helps prevent recurrences. As for the Spleen, it is rarely a problem but if the above advice doesn't help, it's worth having an exam to be sure.
