Understanding Small Glands Under the Tongue: Causes & Concerns

Question
Hello.  A while back I found under my tongue on the left side of the little piece of skin two little pimple like glands.  They are not really discolored or sore or anything but they have me worried. The other side does not look the same.
There may be some white but I can not tell since that tissue in the bottom of the mouth is really multi-colored anyway.
My husband says they are just my saliva glands and nothing to worry about.  I can not find anything that suggest that specific symptom is cancer.
My question is, is it possible that my saliva glands just look like that?
I can not decide if they have always been that way or not.  I have had my mouth examined in the last six months several times for a throat problem and none of the Drs. mentioned anything.
Just wanting input.  Thanks.

P.S. I am a 26 year old female, non smoker

Answer
Head and neck cancer is a lump that is very hard, and nontender.  Something soft is simply a saliva gland.  These can get blocked pretty easily and usually unblock on their own.  If it keeps up over 3 weeks, then it is worth getting your doctor to look at it.

Hope this helps...
