Colonoscopy Prep: Managing Nausea & Vomiting from NuLYTELY

Question
Hi I'm scheduled for my first colonoscopy next month. I am worried
that drinking a gallon of NuLYTELY will cause vomiting. I am a
working singer and I can't afford to have that stomach acid burning
my throat. Would Meclizine help with the possible nausea and
vomiting from drinking NuLYTELY the day before my test.

people get nauseated from it because they drink it too fast and it stretches their small intestine as it is moving thru.... When I do colonoscopies, I use half-litely, which is 4 laxative pills after a light lunch, then 1/2 gallon of the liquids prep, which preps the bowel very nicely... talk to your doc about that... there are also other preps, Visicol, which are pills, 4 at a time (28 pills) followed by a full glass of water each time.  But, I think Half-Litely is the best prep since it causes less nausea than the full Colyte/Nulyte gallon prep.
