QuestionHi Doc,
I m 29 yrs married female. suffering from infertility due to endometrioma which caused blockage of tubes on perifimbrial end.last year I underwent 2 ivf cycles which failed and conceived naturally after that which resulted in m/c as no fetal hb was detected.
Now my doctor did endometrial biopsy for TB PCR which came out positive. there is no evidence of the prblem on Hysteroscopy.
So can this hamper implantation in IVF.
My doctor suggests to start the treatment for this first.
Please suggest.
Thanks doc for ur concern.
AnswerHello Ria from India,
Yes, endometrial TB can lead to implantation failure and miscarriage. It causes a mild endometritis or inflammation of the endometrial cavity. It needs to be treated first.
