QuestionHi
About 5 days ago I got a viral infection in my throat and have now almost completely recovered but I noticed something strange a while ago: When I looked in the mirror I could see that my Uvula is much longer than it used to be and it is now touching and rubbing against my tongue(I can't feel it though). I've looked it up online and some stuff on Uvulitis but It's not swollen, as far as I can tell, it's just longer.
Can you please help me?
Answerjonathan;
if your sore throat is due to a viral infection,antibiotics wont cure it. get plenty of rest and double your fluid intake. fluids may keep your mucus thin and easy to clear.
this could be from the inflammation from having the infection. heres something to try.
try gargling with warm salt water-a half teaspoon of salt mixed in a glass of warm water-several times a day. also,get a new tooth brush,the old one is infected with the infecton.
if this doesnt work,you should call your doctor.
