Understanding Persistent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) in Women

Question
hello glen,
i apologize if this isn't within your realm of expertise. please inform me if you feel you cannot answer this question.
i am a 26 year old female who has been noticing amber-colored urine on and off for a month. this is NOT typical for me in any way even when I am not drinking sufficient amounts of water. Worried and concerned, I tested my urine with an AZO strip yesterday. The strip showed positive results twice, which lead me to believe that my urine contained white blood cells.
i am not experiencing any other symptoms other than discolored and foul smelling urine.

this morning, i immediately went to the doctor and he tested my urine for a variety of problems and all came out negative. does this mean that there is most likely nothing wrong? what COULD it mean? why would an AZO strip give me a positive result? Could there be something wrong with my liver or kidneys? if so, what other symptoms would i be experiencing? Could this be a bladder infection? if so, wouldn't the doctor have picked up on this?

i understand that you aren't diagnosing me. i just wish to have more information on this as it is causing me to become increasingly more concerned and unsteady.

thank you for your insight.

tina

Depends on how accurate the doctor's test were, but I suspect you are OK as far as the urine is concerned. OK?

what COULD it mean? could be bad strips or liver disease.

could be bad strips or liver disease.

Could there be something wrong with my liver could be bad strips or liver disease.or kidneys?

If liver your taste should be off and you could be fatigued.

Could this be a bladder infection?
Not if the doctor's tests are correct.

if so, wouldn't the doctor have picked up on this?
What did the doctor say to explain your tests and theirs?
