Detached Toenail: What to Expect & What to Do

a heavy object fell on my big toe and now I'm losing the nail. It is 90% detached but the right side seems well conected . Will it too come loose or must I cut it off? ouch. thank you

it will come off eventually... sometimes it is easier to pull it off, since it will keep getting stuck on things.... you should have had a hole drilled in the nail right after the injury to let the blood out that was trapped under the nail and elevated the nail... but that is water under the bridge at this point.... if you pull it, it will bleed and hurt a little, but will heal.
