Dealing with a Split Nail: Pain Relief and Healing Tips

I recently took off some acrylic nails, and before I took them off, I bumped my finger.  My nail split under the acrylic and now my finger is in alot of pain. What can I use to ease the pain and heal my finger at the same time

The best thing I found is to use a brush on glue. If you go to your drug store, find a small bottle of brush on nail glue. Do not use too much. Let it air dry. You may have to use it  a few times a week, but it will help.
How were your nails removed? Were they peeled off?
