Nail Wraps: Risks, Limitations & Best Practices for Salon Services
QuestionDescribe adverse treatable nail conditions and action that should be taken when providing a wrap s service in the salon.
AnswerHi Chris
Wraps are technically the weakest system to use as an overlay on the natural nail. this is because the resins used do not have the chemical structure of modern gels and Liquid and powder systems.
The resins will eventually break down in water and sets of wraps usually have to be soaked off and replaced every few months.
Wraps would not be advisable for a client who is hard on their nails with a high level of activityin their lifestyle.
They are best used for a "1 off" set as they are the easiest of the systems to remove. also, for the mend of a singlenail that has a low split. most of the time the wrap could be grown off.
hope this helps
