Tongue Spots: Causes, Symptoms & When to See a Doctor
QuestionI noticed that there is something abnormal about my tongue. Others tongue are smooth thoroughly, but my tongue are very uneven and have spots are no longer covered by the outter coat of the tongue like those that appears when we have fever. I also notice that the outter coat will renew itself but only to be eroded later. My tongue has been like this for many years now. I'm wondering what could be causing this. I do gently clean my tongue with my tooth brush but I doubt this is the cause because the cleaning actual helps reduce the spotting.
Answera lot of people get coated tongues, which can be from bacterial overgrowth, esp. mouth breathers at night who have chronic stuffed nose... there is no cause for alarm, doesn't indicate any bad disease.... they make tongue scrubbers to help get that stuff off
