Arm Tingling: Causes, Symptoms & Potential Solutions
QuestionFor the last two weeks, maybe three my right arm tingles no matter how I hold it. I'm wondering if it's possibly a pinched nerve? It seems to start tingling under the arm first and then to my index and middle fingers only. I do alot of work at the computer and also have 7 mo old twins. Wondering if these situations are exacerbating my arm?
Answerthat sounds like a pinched nerve, often at the wrist level (carpal tunnel) if only in the hand, but the whole arm, usually at the shoulder (shoulder impingement syndrome) or possible at the neck level. Try Alleve, 1-2 twice a day for a couple of weeks and then get it checked if no better... yes, the lifting of kids and computer work can make it worse... try lowering the keyboard/mouse to change the angle of wrists and shoulders....
