Question Hello. For the last few nights when I sleep my arm and hand "goes to sleep". This is only on the right side and I don't have to be laying on the arm.
It usually starts to go away once I am up and moving around. Sometimes a lingering ache exist.
What could cause this? What can I do about it? Thanks.
I am a healthy young woman with no major medical problems other than TMJ. I know that TMJ can cause tingling in the hands, is this what that is?
Also I have been lifting weights. But this only seems to happen when I am laying down.

Answer:
Yes, it can be related but more likely to be due to salt retention secondary to Vit B 6 deficiency plus salt intake. My patients find relief with Vit B6 at 50 mg twice a day but you should call your doctor to be sure this is not a special sign of a problem they might be aware of and to be sure the Vit B 6 is OK for you. Adding high potency B complex twice daily for 3 months would help with the nerve root nutrition. OK?
