Induction at 37 Weeks with Obstetric Cholestasis: Risks & Baby's Health
Questionim 21 years old this is my first child and my last period was 15th july 2005. i have obstetric cholestatis and my consultant has suggested that i am induced at 37 weeks. will this put my babies life in danger?
AnswerAfter 36 weeks, the baby's lungs are mature enough to exist in the outside world. If you have cholestasis of pregnancy, we like to deliver the baby as soon as it is mature enough. By 37 weeks, it will be healthy if you deliver. If the induction does not work, you will have a cesarean section.
