Eye Twitching: Causes, Symptoms & Relief - A Comprehensive Guide

Question
Good Afternoon!
I have a question regarding a twitch that I have in my eyes. A small twitch towards the center of my right eye began 3 weeks ago. Soon it spread to each side of my other eye. It is not a constant twitching, it twiches in about 3 minute chunks of time, maybe, 15-20 times per day. They are not always on the same eye and they are sometimes on the outer portion and sometimes on the inner portion of the eye. Never does it cause me to close my eye at all though-just twitches.
I do not feel more stressed than usual or tired and my caffeine intake amounts to 2 cans of Diet Pepsi a day (no different than usual). I do sit in front of a computer each day but I always have done that and I do not wear glasses. I just can't figure it out and I am on a high deductible insurance plan and do not have the funds to pay cash for a Dr.'s visit.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Answer
Hi Jen,
Fortunately you won't have to use your insurance. This is a sign of fatigue. You don't have to be noticeably tired, but it is an indicator. There is no treatment and it will eventually stop as suddenly as it started. If you aren't getting a reasonable amount of rest, that might be all you need to fix this.
