Miss Kitty,

Be prepared for a long hard road.  Premed is a good warm up of things to come.  However, you will not know the meaning of the term "study" until you have entered medical school where the pace is fast and the information tremendous.  After 4 years of medical school comes internship (hardest year for most young doctors) and residency training anywhere from 2 to 5 years depending on your specialty.

I worked part time while in undergrad PreMed and also held down a job in a molecular biology lab (part time) while in the last 3 years of medical school.  Study hard and keep the grades up to get in and do well on your MCAT.

You must be passionate about this profession as it demands a lot of you.

Answer
To be honest it really doesn't matter what school you go to, but rather what grades you make and what your MCAT and interview yield.  To make sure ask the admissions department how many graduates of the undergraduate school you want to attend actually get accepted to their med school.  That should give you and idea of how the view grads from that college.
