QuestionShould I be concerned. I had some painfull swollen lymth nodes in my grion that came out of nowhere. They gave me penecillin and I feel better. However I can kind of still feel them, but not as much. Its been 1.5 months. My cbc count was 11.9 everything was ok, except my neutriphils were 81 perecent, or 9.5 absoulte value. monocyles were 1.0 absolute. everything else ok. I have been under stress, with my new job working in manholes (sewer lines)(i think thats how i got sick) and I smoke. SHould i be concered about the high neutrphil count, for something like cancer?I am 23.
Answerthe cbc is normal. Even with the neutrophil count... so I would not worry about cancers.... I think the real issue is your stress. Also, your best bet about long term health would be the smoking. there are lots of things out there to help quit, like Welbutrin ( Zyban) and Chantix, and nicotine supplements like lozenges, patches, gum, etc.
