Is Alfa Arbutin Cream Safe After Liver Transplant? - Expert Advice

Hi i am 23 years old I had a liver transplant in 1998 due to the itching when i was little from the bad liver i scratched alot and due to that it left scars on my face...i have been looking for a product that will help the scars..and i came across a product called Alfa (Alpha)Arbutin Cream its for blemish control and scars and dark spots ...however researching it on the internet suggest that it can cause liver and or kidney damage i was wondering if you can tell me if its safe for me to use or if i should stay away from it or  if you have ever heard of it? thanks

You need to stay away from all those products that can potentially cause liver problems unless your transplant doctor specifically says that medicine is OK.  You would be better off seeing a plastic surgeon or a cosmetic dermatologist for an evaluation instead of simply trying a product.  They can give you better insight as to what might work depending on how deep the scars are.....
