Liver Pain & Biopsy Results: Seeking Further Investigation?

I recently had a laparoscopy as I had acute pain in the area of my liver and shoulder. It revealed patchy grey areas on my liver, also I had an area of the liver which had attached itself to the abdomen wall ?causing most of the pain. A liver biopsy was done, and the result said ?hepatitis or cirrohsis. However I have been treated for a liver infection. I also live in Uganda.
Do you think I should pursue further investigations? A lot of the pain however has diminished.

hepatitis means liver inflammation... it doesn't specify the type of hepatitis... whether from one of the virus' or a bacteria, or, in your area, a parasitic infection... so, yes, you need additional testing to find out what type of hepatitis and why it is causing cirrhosis, which means scarring of the liver. I don't know what kind of resources are available in Uganda
