Post-Abortion Bleeding and Period Irregularities: What to Expect

hey i had a question. i had an abortion on the 24th of december. it was one of the clinc abortion done by vaccuming and i had bleedings for a few days. but after that i don't hv any symptoms of being pregnant. I haven't had my period ever since so i was wondering if there is any thing wrong with me. Also i hvn't had any sexual intercourses after the abortion.

Dear Aby,
This is completely normal.  If your symptoms went away, it sounds like the abortion was successful.  You can be 100% sure by checking a home pregnancy test.  By now, it should be negative.
It can take 3 weeks to 3 months to get your normal period after an abortion.  There is nothing to worry about, as long as you are not concerned that you could be pregnant again.
