Questioni was diognosed with PID at sixteen from alot of sexual abuse when i was younger and told id never have kids because the scar tissue was so bad, plus since the age of 10 i only had a period once a year maybe twice, i was also diognosed with PCOS, ok I did have children Thank god for that i just had my fifth and had my tubes tied, my quistion is since then ive had alot of pain and also been bleeding alot its like my periods just started getting normal again, could them tying my tubes have done something? also I have alot of pain sometimes during sex my partner says they can feel this large mass also when they are inside me and i feel it also ,but then its like it will go away and then flare up again, and i dont understand all this new bleeding when i have only had periiods a few times a year, im 32 thank you for any help you can give me
AnswerDear Kim, Of course I can not be specific as to what this is....
However, there are several possibilities... One might be something having to do with the tube tying... Another might be endometriosis... Another might be a mass or tumor....
I strongly suggest that you see your OB/GYN, have a pap smear done, an internal sonogram to check for tumors or cysts, and maybe even a CA-125 blood test to check for ovarian cancer.... The only way to tell if you have endometriosis is to have an exploratory laproscopy done.. There is no blood test for endo... There are no ultrasoundsor sonograms that can diagnose endo... But you must get all of this checked out...
