QuestionHello my name is Lisa and here is my question: What could some effects of taking to pills of 'the morning after'?
Almost a month ago my boyfriend and I had some unprotected sex, he went to the pharmacy and got me two 'plan B One step' pills, I took the first one that day...about 1 hr or 2 after intercourse, and the second one two days after.
Now I am worried because I should be menstruating by now, but I am not, could I be pregnant? Or could my cycle be altered because of the two pills? I guess its more than one question...
AnswerLisa,
The morning after pill can alter your period. It has hormones in it which can delay your period or just make it not regular. Or you can be pregnant. I would advise you not to ever take that again and read the article at http://www.optionline.org
Most of the time, it is not necessary to take that pill after intercourse. Of course, I would recommend not having sex until you are married to avoid pregnancy problems and other concerns. Let me know what happens. You can email me at DWooley97@aol.com and hope to hear from you soon.
