Morning After Pill & Bleeding: What Does It Mean?

there have been two different times i took the morning after pill and i bled because of it, and another time i took the morning after pill and i didn't bleed. if i bled from taking the pill, a friend told me that she thought that meant that i was fertilized by sperm. is this true? or is it possibly i could have been wether i bled or not?
